Obituary of Leonardo Presti

It is with great sadness that the family of Leonardo Presti announce his passing which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital in the early morning hours of Saturday April 22, 2023.  ‘Born in Sicily on February 27, 1945, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Concetta Presti.  At the age of nine, Leonardo and his family moved to Toronto where he resided until 2000.  Following his time spent in Toronto, Leonardo moved to Saint John where he would spend the rest of his days.

Leonardo was an avid follower of the Montreal Canadiens and was also a big fan of Elvis Presley’s music.  He enjoyed going to the mall to have coffee with his friends.

Leonardo will be lovingly remembered by his Son, Salvatore Presti (Lisa); Sister, Anna Cammalleri (the late Antonino); Grandchildren, Salvatore Presti (Kayla) and Katarina Presti (Adam); Nephews, Ross Cammalleri (Brunella) and Sam Cammalleri (Teresa) and Niece, Josie Campoli (Frank).

In keeping with Leonardo’s wishes, his body has been donated to the Dalhousie Human Body Donation Program.  A Service of Remembrance will be held at a later date.
