Obituary of Lothian Norton Wyse

The family of Lothian “Norton” Wyse, 94, wish to communicate his passing peacefully on May 18, 2023.  Norton was born on March 22, 1929, in Edinburgh, Scotland. Norton worked many years as an accountant executive for Kellogg/Salada in Toronto, Ontario before emigrating back to Edinburgh with his wife Joyce (Fearnhead) Wyse where they owned and operated a bed and breakfast “The International Guest House” for 8 years. They then returned to Saint John in the late 1980’s making a beautiful home and gardens on Sunset Drive and then moved in 2007 to Chateau de Champlain.  Norton volunteered many hours at the New Brunswick Museum in his retirement and did extensive research on the provincial shipbuilding industry.  Norton is pre-deceased by his wife Joyce and brother Robert Wyse, as well as sisters-in-law Iris (Fearnhead) Brown, Kathleen (Fearnhead) Walsh and brother-in-law William Fearnhead.  He is survived by nieces, Valerie Corner, of Sussex, N.B., Patricia Possitti, of Ontario, Susan Knolla, of Saint John, nephew, James Walsh, of Ontario, and several cousins in the UK.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). There will be no visiting or funeral service. Internment will take place with a small private graveside service to be held on June 17th at 11 am where he will be reunited with his beloved wife Joyce.
