Obituary of Clyde Alan Gass

The death of Clyde Alan Gass of Mission, BC, occurred on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at the Christine Morrison Hospice of the Mission Memorial Hospital.  Clyde was born on August 21, 1961 in Harvey Station, NB.  He was the son of the late Gordon and Lola Gass.

Prior to his retirement, Clyde was a long-time employee of Canadian Pacific Railway.

He is survived by his brother, Kevin Gass (Elizabeth) of Vancouver, BC, sister, Cheryl Gass (Charles) of Saint John, NB, brother, David Gass (Guylaine) of Ottawa, ON, nephew, Alex Gass (Evelyn) of Vancouver, BC, nieces, Monika Gass (Reece) of Gabriola Island, BC and Jennifer Gass (Brian) of Cranbrook, BC, his uncle and aunt, Paul and Hazel Gass of McAdam, NB and several cousins.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) where visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 3:00 - 5:00 PM.  A funeral service will take place at Brenan’s Chapel on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 11:00 AM with a reception to follow.  Interment will take place in Rockland Cemetery, McAdam, NB, on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 2:00 PM.

The family wishes to thank the staff and volunteers of the Christine Morrison Hospice for their care and compassion to Clyde and his family.

Donations in memory of Clyde may be made to the Mission Hospice Society, the McAdam Historical Restoration Project, the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
