Obituary of Agnes Parlee

It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Agnes Parlee (Dryden) announces her passing at Bobby's Hospice on Friday, June 30th, 2023 at the age of 82.

Agnes will be lovingly remembered by her sister Donna Daigle (Carl), sister Elizabeth Harding (Steve); children Carl Parlee (Brenda), Karen Goddard, Shelia Parlee (Dale); grandchildren Malcolm Amirault (Mindy), Jason Amirault (Jenn), Andrew Parlee (Kristi), Melissa Coggan (Robin), Krystal Goddard (Duran), Jonathan Goddard (Natasha); Scott Parlee, and 19 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Otty James Parlee, father James Howard Dryden, mother Frances Helena Dryden (Curwin), brother Howie Dryden, sister Irene Bridges, son Michael Parlee, daughter Mary Elizabeth Amirault (George), grandson Curtis Amirault, grandson Mathew Parlee, and grandson Westley Parlee.

Agnes will be remembered by all who knew her as “one tough cookie”, she loved life, loved her family, took the bad with the good, and never found much worth complaining about. She spent her final hours surrounded by friends and family, making jokes, and pinching those who she thought deserved it.

She will be immensely missed by all who knew her, as to know her was to love her.

Visitation will take place at Brenan's Funeral Home (506-634-7424), 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, on Tuesday, July 4th, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8pm, where a Funeral Liturgy will be held on Wednesday morning, beginning at 11am. Interment to follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. A Reception will be held in the conference room of Stephenson Tower, 40 Tower Street North, Saint John, following the Funeral Liturgy.
