Obituary of MaryAnn Cameron
It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of MaryAnn Cameron which occurred on July 24th, 2023. Born September 9th, 1968 to Freeman and Betty (McEwen) Cameron.
MaryAnn was predeceased by her father, Freeman; mother, Betty and brother, Freeman. She is survived by her sisters, Sherry Foster (Steve) and Sandra O’Hearon (Billy) and her pride and joys, her nephew and nieces, Ryan McCoy (Halee), Ashley Swan (Matt) and Rebecca Foster (Jacob); as well as her reason for living, her great-nephews, Cameron, Anderson and Alexander Swan and Declan Duncan. MaryAnn was loved by her entire family and will be missed by all including aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
MaryAnn’s early childhood was spent in Saint John where she made lifelong friends with Angie, Lorna, Heather and Roberta. She then moved to Hampton and enjoyed her life surrounded by family and friends. She had plenty of animals she loved throughout her life, and she passed loving her two birds, Blue and Two Two.
MaryAnn may not have had children, but she mothered eight and cherished her sleepovers with the boys. Like her Facebook bio says, she was smart, sarcastic with a dark sense of humour and didn’t put up with bullshit.
She spent the last seven years going to dialysis where she met many great people. Special thanks to her drivers, Dave and Billy and to the caring nursing staff and doctors there. Special thank you to Patti Leblanc and her favourite fake friend Shyanne. The family would like to thank Dr. Chris O’Brien, the Dialysis Unit, 3A North and Extra Mural for all their care.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) where visitation will take place on Thursday, July 27th, 2023 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM and will be immediately followed by a Celebration of MaryAnn's Life beginning at 1:00 PM all from Brenan’s Chapel.
Donations can be made to the Kidney Dialysis Unit c/o the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation.
