Rodd: David Warren
Peacefully, after a brief illness, at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, July 29th, 2023, David Warren Rodd passed away at the age of 81. Born in Charlottetown, PEI, on April 4th, 1942, he was the son of the late Percy and Vivian Rodd (nee Romkey). Beloved partner and best friend of more than 30 years to the late Myrna J. Reid.
David is survived by his sisters Joyce MacFadyen (Jeddy) of Augustine Cove, PEI, and Shirley Bryenton (Ernie) of Charlottetown, PEI; his grandson David Rodd and his great grandson Rowan Rodd, as well as countless nieces and nephews throughout PEI.
Besides his parents, David was predeceased by his son Percy Rodd, sister Doris Gallant (Clarence), and brother Percy Rodd (Chippy).
David enjoyed his work as a security guard at Prince Edward Square, he and his coworkers truly embodied the spirit of family.
Cremation has taken place. Interment will follow in PEI at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Brenan’s Funeral Home (506-634-7424).
