Obituary of Douglas Roy Beale
It is with profound sadness, our family announces the passing of Douglas R. Beale which occurred on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at The Saint John Regional Hospital. He has been reunited with the love of his life, Doreen L Beale. Douglas was the son of the late Roy and Margaret (Shannon) Beale.
Dad spent his early childhood on Grand Manan Island and travelled back to the Island on many occasions with all of us over the years. Dad enjoyed playing cards, 4 wheeling, skidooing, fishing, hunting, and listening to the traditional country music. After leaving Vocational High School, he began his career as a Printing Pressman with Lingley Printing company and retired in 1997. He was an excellent drummer and played with the Jim Morton and the Countrymen Band. Jam sessions in our living room were common. For over 30 years Dad and Mom enjoyed their many adventures at the camp "Inkwell" on McDougall Lake. He was the best listener and storyteller filled with humour and laughter. We are all truly blessed to have such a kind supportive man as our Father and Grandfather.
Dad will be lovingly remembered by, Catherine Beale, Brian Beale (Kathryn) and Heather King (Wayne); His cherished grandchildren, Christa Diamond (Greg), Katelyn Murray (Kirk), Lesley Baker (Levi), Meaghan Melanson, Andrew Beale; great-grandchildren, Graham, Hugh, Wyatt, Lilah and Evelyn; sister, Marcella Osborne; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Woods (Joseph), Emma Beale and brother-in-law, Philip Parker.
