Obituary of Frank Malley
It is with great sadness that the family of Francis “Frank” Joseph Malley, loving husband of the late Edith (Hartling) Malley, announce his unexpected passing which occurred on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. Born in Chatham on September 16, 1940, he was the son of the late John and Lorraine (Robichaud) Malley.
Frank worked for New System Laundry & Cleaners for many years as a driver, later working for Saint John Transit from 1980 until his retirement in 2001.
He was an avid bowler and loved to play cards, as well as throw in a magic trick whenever possible. Frank loved the Montreal Canadiens “Go Habs Go!” He was always joking around and his co-workers at Saint John Transit called him “the king of the one-liners.”
Frank is survived by his daughter, Shelley Grondine (Mike); his grandson, Alex Grondine; son, Kevin Malley (Angela); sisters, Mary Lousie Robichaud (Onesiphore) and Mona Malley-Geddes (Jim); as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his grandson, Eric Grondine; granddaughter, Madison Grondine; brother, Raymond Malley (Sandra) and sisters, Leona Malley and Shirley Speight (David).
In keeping with Frank’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424).
In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice in Frank’s name would be appreciated.
As Frank would always say “Bye Now.”
