Obituary of Cheryl Lynn Boyd

It is with great sadness that the family of Cheryl Lynn Boyd announces her passing on December 7, 2023 at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a courageous battle with illness. Cheryl was born on March 7, 1953 in Charlottetown, PEI to the late Sylvia (Campbell) Boyd.

Cheryl was a very kind and giving person. She cared deeply about those close to her; always wanting to make sure they were taken care of. Her close friends and family were extremely important to her. She loved children, especially her great nephew Jackson; he was her world. Cheryl enjoyed spending time with friends over a coffee or a good meal.

She loved travelling, especially her trips down South and to Disney.

Cheryl made many lifelong friendships at Castle Funeral Home, where she worked for over 40 years as an office administrator.

Cheryl will be dearly missed by her brothers Ralph (Darlene) Boyd, Errol “Bud” (Starr) Boyd, sisters Shirley Teller and Donna Lawrence, many nieces and nephews, including her nephew Errol Boyd (Bonnie) and niece Christina Marr (Trevor).

In addition to her mother Sylvia, Cheryl is predeceased by her sisters; Marilyn Kennedy and Gwendolyn Henderson, brother in law Ned Kennedy, and special pup Babe.

Arrangements are under the care of Castle ‘Fallsview’ Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB, E2M 2L3. A Private Graveside Service will be held in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please pay it forward in acts of kindness as Cheryl did for her friends and family.
