Obituary of Catherine Olive Maureen Keenan

It is with great sadness that the family of Catherine Olive Maureen Keenan announce her passing on February 9, 2024, at Bobby’s Hospice.

Catherine was the daughter of the late Olive (nee Brown) and Robert Alexander (Sandy) Keenan.

She is survived by her sisters: Patricia Hughes and Nancy Coghill both of Regina, and Lynn Keenan of Calgary; nephews Jordan (Brianne) and Mason Coghill of Regina; uncles Gerard Holmden Keenan (Maura) and Robert J. Higgins; as well as numerous cousins.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by many aunts and uncles of the Brown and Keenan families.

Catherine graduated from Kennebecasis High School in 1982, and was a 1988 graduate from UNB, with studies in sociology. She had been employed in government programs, in various positions, utilizing her intellect, sharp wit, and sincere desire to help others.

It is with much gratitude that Catherine’s family thank the staff of Bobby’s Hospice for their compassionate and professional care. Your vocation is truly a blessing to our community.'

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home (506) 634-1701 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John NB.  Visitation for Catherine will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, from 11:00-11:45 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church (360 Dufferin Row, Saint John). A Mass of Christian Burial will directly follow beginning at 12:00 PM; interment will take place in the spring. Donations in Catherine’s memory can be made to Bobby’s Hospice, Saint John Regional Foundation, Saint John SPCA, or charity of your choice.
