Obituary of Nicole Mary Dow
Nicole Mary Dow of Damascus, NB passed away on February 12, 2024 in the Intensive Care Unit (3BS) at the Saint John Regional Hospital following a courageous battle with long-term illness. She was born in Saint John, NB on December 27, 1970 and was the daughter of the late Brenda Dow and her surviving father, Ronald Dow (Gloria Moore).
Nicole is survived by her loving daughters, Alyssa Dow (Johnny High) and Kalyn Dow (Sarah O’Neill); longtime partner, Tim Macaulay; sister, Cara-Lee (Casey) Sharpe; brother, Stephen Dow (Lori Whitney); nieces, Chelsea, Kensie, Charis, Jayden Sharpe and Brittany Dow; along with several special aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends.
Besides her mother, she was predeceased by her son, Ryan Dow; aunt, Gayle Dow and her first granddog, Sophie.
Above all else, Nicole was a mother and a lover of anything that involved family and fun. The love she held for her animals was unmeasured, she was always quick to share stories of her dogs and love for her granddogs. Some of her happiest moments were laughing around a table full of food, with those she loved. Being around her family, friends and any furry friend, was her happy place. She was not only an animal lover, beach enthusiast, cross-stitcher and book lover, she was someone who had a heart big enough to fit the whole world and she made sure to never let anyone around her forget the love she had to give. Her ability to make anyone feel special was unmatched and a gift to be felt.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the dedicated staff of the Intensive Care Unit (3BS) at the Saint John Regional Hospital for their exceptional care and devotion to our mom and family.
