Obituary of Mary Eileen McCluskey

It is with much sadness that the family of Mary Eileen McCluskey of Saint John announce her passing, which occurred on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Born on August 15, 1948 in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late John and Eileen (Fortune) McCluskey.

Mary adored her family and especially looked forward to the times spent with her grandsons…as they always brought a twinkle to her eye.  She was passionate about crafting, enjoyed gardening, was a skilled painter, a lover of music, enjoyed woodworking, sewing and most recently loved to game with her grandsons.  Mary’s favourite colour was purple and the more bling the better.  She will be greatly missed. 

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her children, Beverley Anne White and Bernard White (Ella); siblings, John McCluskey (Dorothy), Kevin McCluskey, Mike McCluskey (Mary Kim) and Monica McGrath (Carl); precious grandsons who were her world, Zach and Shane White; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) where visitation will take place on Monday, April 22, 2024 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM with a funeral liturgy immediately beginning at 2:00 PM all from Brenan’s Chapel.
