Obituary of Murielle Theresa Lapierre
With heavy hearts, but for appreciation for our years together, we announce the passing of our mother, Murielle Lapierre, surrounded by her four children, at Bobby’s Hospice on Friday, April 26, 2024. Born February 23, 1945, in Pictou, Nova Scotia, she was a daughter of the late Romuald and Dora (Donnell) Landry.
Murielle was very devoted to God and her family. She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness Bayside Congregation, where she had many great friends and served her community. She loved to laugh and would often surprise others with her cheeky humour. She enjoyed her seafood, the ocean, and baking.
Murielle is survived by her beloved children: Julie Lapierre (Jeffrey), Serge Lapierre (Estella), Adora Douglas (Al), and Michel Lapierre (Crystal Krumrei); cherished grandchildren: Amanda, Ryan, Nicole, Browndon, Josh, Logan, Daniel, Allen, Shawn, and Carrie; beautiful great-grandchildren: Adalyn, Cameron, Bentley, Carter, Kason, Ryland, Garrett, Sadie, Mariah, Mylee, and Mckenzie; brothers and sisters: Ola Landry (Eva), Alcide Landry (Elizabeth), Jeanne Landry (the late Jean-Paul Belanger), Rhoda Landry (Rosaire Gaudet), and Ronnie Landry (Betty); sister-in-law, Amella Landry; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friends: Connie, Gloria, Lois, Carol, and Eleanor.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Edwin Landry.
The family would like to take this opportunity to extend a special thank you to the volunteers, nursing staff, and doctors of Bobby’s Hospice for the care, compassion, and friendship shown to Murielle in her final days.
