Our sincere condolences to Thelma, Estey, and Mark. Marion often spoke lovingly of Thelma and was so proud of Estey and Mark and grateful for all you did for her.
Marion became a very important part of our family about 45 years ago. She was like a grandmother for our children and loved being part of their lives. We all have so many special memories of her as she enriched our lives in so many ways. Our special occasions: weddings, birthdays, and seasonal celebrations always included Marion if she was available. She had a lot of love to give which expanded when she met new friends.
We were privileged to help organize her 80th and 90th birthday parties. I am grateful I got to visit her in Tucker Hall when we shared our faith in Jesus and prayed together.
Marion was an extra special part of our family and we miss her.
Hasell and Bill Kerr, Deborah, Nigel, Megan.

Marion had many first cousins, and my late father, Lloyd Fullerton, was one of them.
I remember Marion from when I was small. She came to visit us one day, and it was just about the time I was starting to wonder "what will I be when I grow up?".
I asked her all about her work and she told me about the guinea pigs. I asked her what happened to them and she said "they died". I asked if the ALL died, and she said they did. I was an animal lover then and now and I was disconsolate about it. She told me she would bring me two guinea pigs the next day at lunch time, and I could save their lives.
As promised, the next day at lunch time, she arrived with two plump, shiny coated guinea pigs in a cardboard box. One was mostly black and the other mostly orange so I promptly named them "Pepper" and "Pumpkin". They spent their lives on Millidge Avenue and were very good friends with my rabbits. Unlike rabbits, guinea pigs are very vocal. It took a bit of time for us all to get used to that, especially the rabbits, I would imagine.
Marion attended many family events over the years, and the last one was my late mother's 90th birthday party on June 8, 2019.
My condolences to Marion's sister, Thelma and her beloved nephews, Estey and Mark of whom she was so proud, and who were so good to her, all her life, but especially in her later years.
Sincerely,
Susan Fullerton

My sympathies to Marion's family. What great memories I have of Marion. First as my girl guide leader and later for many years together in the TB section of the Microbiology Lab. She ruled it with an iron fist and taught us all so much ! Phyllis Bennett

My heartfelt sympathy on your - our - loss.
Marion played an important part in the lives of many of her friends and colleagues as well as her family.
She came to pick me up in her little Morris at the airport in Saint John when I arrived as an immigrant in 1960. My aunt could not drive but she felt comfortable to ask her fellow worker at the laboratory to help out. I soon became a student there and was taught about testing for TB under her careful direction, learning to handle Guinea Pigs and reading glass slide preparations under the microscope. Then, after obtaining my qualifications, I became one of her colleagues - but in a different discipline, Haematology, the only available position at that time. We were located in the Provincial Laboratory, the three storey brick building between the two hospitals uptown. Bacteriology and Haematology were located on the second floor on opposite sides of the corridor. That meant that we were in close proximity until her well deserved retirement. All the workers there were a close knit scientific group, getting together in the lunchroom and for coffee breaks - and those legendary lobster boils (and later corn boils) at Victoria beach and other venues were truly highlights.
Marion was a dear friend, mentor and valued colleague and it was a real pleasure and privilege to help celebrate her 90th birthday.
I am grateful that Marion was such an important part of my life.

Jim and both have fond memories of Marion. Jim had known her all his life as a member of Silver Falls and of the community. I met Marion after coming to Silver Falls Church in the late 60’s. Marion was a person to be respected! She was a dedicated lady to our church and a lovely person to know. Her father Clarence was one of the original builders of Silver Falls church and her mom was a gracious lady who wrote many poems for numerous occasions. Thinking of Marion brings back some wonderful memories of great times at Silver Falls Church.

I am very sorry to hear of Marions’s passing. Marion’s is a valued member of our church, Silver Falls United and I will miss her. She gave of her time, talents, her compassion and love to us all. I will always remember her dedication to her church and to her friends.
She gave of her time to the Unified Board, the worship committee, bible study and was always there to give a helping hand to any fund raising event. She made friend’s easily and did not judge anyone. Her faith was her mainstay and I know she is safely in His arms. Rest well Marion! ❤️

I worked a very short time with Marion but long enough to see what a kind and lovely person she was. I started work in Microbiology about 6 months before she and her coworker friend Pat retired. It was hard for me to imagine working more than 40 years! She was the supervisor of the TB lab. A smart and capable woman. I fondly remember Marion and Pat enjoying lunch at the hospital cafeteria when it was liver and onions lunch day. RIP
