Marcia,
The joy, and laughter, the stories and antics, the meals and the miles, the slices and the long drives….and occasionally, the tears….that you and Carl have shared with my parents over the years have meant the world.
The true definition of friendship; and of family.
To you, Jeff, Candace, and Kelly, and to all who loved Carl, I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you will find some comfort every time a story is told or a memory shared.
With heartfelt condolences,
Ryan

Goodbye our dear friend . We had so many good times and laughs on our travel adventures . Who could forget the most memorable Easter spent in New Orleans together in Preservation Hall singing along to the old Baptist Hymns or the beautiful dinner in the garden where the Wisteria’s hung in full bloom.
The many great times at Ozona Blue laughing and enjoying life. The great trip to the ski house where at 6:00 AM you checked out the rules for the Hot Tub only to discover we didn’t follow any of the rules which sent us into fits of laughter . Our great trip to Cape Breton you and Marcia in your little blue bug and Steve and I following behind. Not a care in the world as we enjoyed the beautiful scenery and kick our heals up at the Red Shoe Pub while the sound of the fiddles filled the room.
What great times. We love you dearly and will always have these memories when we think of you.
Have a glass of Chardoney and belt out those Baptists Hymns for us dear friend .

Carl Sherwood was one of my favourite cousins. We became close friends at a young age while vacationing through the New England States with our parents. In those formative years Carl was like a mentor, always with kindness and wisdom. Both of our fathers were best of friends, and Carl and I would join them on many great fishing trips. I will always cherish my fond memories of our times being together, even in the last several months.
My fondest wishes to Audrey and Marcia and their family at this time. - Jamie Wilson

I always felt special and important when I saw my Uncle Carl - that’s just who he was. His interactions were deep and meaningful and I always wanted to hear what he had to say. I remember later in life visiting with my Aunt Marcia and Uncle Carl at the Lake with some friends on our way through to a retreat in Tatamagouche (Marcia and Carl were always the most generous hosts). He asked many thoughtful questions showing a deeply spiritual side I had not known until then. He also had a contagious laughter and smile; In more recent years, my daughter and I will never forget the laughs we had with Carl while we three ‘performed' the orbit and rotation of the sun. Gently goes the day, Uncle Carl. Sending love and support to my Aunt Marcia and to Candace, Kelly, Jeff and family.
