Obituary of Leonard David Pevlin

PEVLIN, Leonard David

It is with immense sadness that the family of Leonard “Len” David Pevlin announce his passing at Ridgewood Veterans Wing on Monday, May 20, 2024. Born on May 17, 1944, in Saint John, NB, to the late Clarence and Annie Pevlin.

Len will be profoundly missed by his loving wife Cecile Pevlin; son Sean; daughter Gina (Mike); siblings Shirley, Steve, Russell, Brian, and Bobby; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents.

Len was a member of the Royal Canadian Navy, serving for 3 years from 1962-1965, as well as a senior member of the RKYC and The Legion for many years. He went on to graduate from Community College as an electrician, where he began his long career of self-employment serving his community. On hot summer's days you could always find him cruising along the Saint John River and Bay of Fundy in his Grand Banks “Andrieta”, and in the cold winter's months he’d be spending his spare time in Florida soaking up the sunshine. Above all else, Len loved his wife, his children, and dancing.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). Visitation will take place at Brenan’s on Monday, May 27, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, from 11:00 AM. For those unable to attend the funeral service, please feel free to join the family via livestream.

Donations in memory of Len would be greatly appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Society. Online condolences may be shared at www.brenansfh.com.
