Obituary of Shannon Lea Ann McGaghey

It is with great sadness that I share in the unexpected accidental death of my daughter Shannon Lea Ann McGaghey (Miller).  She was born in Saint John on February 27, 1977.

Her beauty, kind spirit and laughter will be remembered by all who knew her.

Graduate of St. Vincent’s High School…forever known as one of the chicks of 96.  Her most recent accomplishment was receiving her Paralegal Degree and she was very fortunate to work with the law firm of Jack Riley.

Shannon will fondly be remembered for her love of her children, family, close friends and her cooking.

Shannon will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her Dad, Danny “Dan” McGaghey; Sisters, Rachel and Rebecca; Clark Miller; Daughters, Jordan (Sam), Hannah and Lily and son, Jagger; as well as several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and her Dog, Oakley.

Shannon most recently was predeceased by her Mom, Karen McGaghey (May 19, 2024).  She was also predeceased by her Maternal and Paternal Grandparents, Doris and Gerald McGaghey and Herbert and Muriel Betts; along with many Aunts and Uncles.

My thoughts and prayers are that we constantly reach out to each other…be it a hug, a smile or words of encouragement forever remembering that we travel together as family, partners and friends.  In love and friendship.

Shannon had expressed her wishes to be an organ donor, so as I'm writing this any vital organs are now being harvested and prepared for transfer.  In doing this, my hopes and thoughts are that Shannon's spirit will continue to live on.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) where visitation will take place on Sunday, September 1, 2024 from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM and where the funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM.
