Obituary of Marjorie Lees

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Marjorie Lees, on Wednesday, August 28th, at the age of 91. Marjorie died peacefully at Tucker Hall in Saint John.

Marjorie was born on March 11th, 1933 in Oldham, England to the late Clifford and Sarah Ann (McQuiggan) Brooks.

Marjorie immigrated to Quebec, Canada with her husband and 3 young children in 1968.

Mum was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Brian (2019), infant son Kevin, and brother, Eric.

Marjorie loved and was so proud of all her family. She is survived by her daughters Susan (Robert) Pinette, Rothesay, NB and Karen (Richard) Lees-Brown, Bay View, NB and her son Dion (Wynn) Lees, Edson, Alta.; grandchildren: Sarah, Robert, Matthew, Andrew, Joshua, Tyler, Kori and Brian; and great-grandchildren: Emily, Abigail, James, Jordan, Lauryn, Kayl, Madison, Hailey, Ryder and Harriet.

Marjorie shared many grand adventures and trips over the years with her husband and children. She loved to play her piano and guitar, her embroidery works were exquisite and she was an outstanding cook. Her cinnamon rolls, chocolate cakes, and baps were family favourites. She also loved her summers at the cottage, taking her four legged friends for walks or just sitting and enjoying their beautiful garden.

Mum was an amazing woman, her strength, dignity, and her beautiful smile will always be remembered.

We will all miss her dearly but will hold her in our hearts and memories forever.

Special thanks go to all the staff of Tucker Hall. We are very grateful for their excellent care, compassion, and kindness.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424). In keeping with Marjorie's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service.
