Obituary of Deborah Ann Robichaud
It is with heartfelt sorrow that the family of Deborah Ann Robichaud announces her passing on Monday, September 23, 2024, at Bobby’s Hospice. Born on March 23, 1949, in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Verdun and Viola (Reid) Dempsey.
Deborah’s careers were a testament to her dedication to helping others. She started at Northern Telecom and then moved on to become a trained paramedic with the Quispamsis Ambulance. Her compassionate nature led her to a fulfilling career as a private homecare worker, where she made a positive difference in the lives of many.
Deborah had a deep love for all God’s creatures, often finding joy in feeding the birds and watching them come to her deck. Except, of course, for the squirrels who seemed determined to
outsmart her and steal all of the birdseed for themselves. Her pets were a constant source of great happiness in her life, bringing her joy and companionship that brightened her days.
Deborah was known for her sociable nature. She enjoyed her daily walks around the neighborhood, stopping to chat with anyone she met along the way. She also cherished attending her yoga classes, where she found great pleasure and relaxation in her practice. A talented baker and cook, she was always eager to explore new recipes and master them with her culinary skills. She expressed her love and appreciation for her loved ones through her delicious food.
Deborah is survived by her children, Malcolm McQuinn (Lisa) of Saint John and Marcia Salamone (Joe) of Rothesay, her grandchildren, Kayla McQuinn, Anna-Maria Salamone, and Madison McQuinn. She is also survived by her brother, Gordon Dempsey (Patricia) of Rothesay; and her niece and nephew, Sharlene Martin and Shawn Dempsey (Nicole). Additionally, she is remembered by her beloved extended family, Ruth McQuinn, Erica Cole (Lindsay), and Troy
Carpenter (Debbie). She will also be fondly remembered by her extended family, Alice and David Hatfield, and Dale and Bob Burnett. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Besides her parents, Deborah is predeceased by her husband David McQuinn.
