Obituary of Garry Elmer Cheslock
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Garry Elmer Cheslock of Saint John, NB, on October 13, 2024. Garry was a son of Elmer and Francine "Frankie" Cheslock who welcomed him into their lives on April 12, 1950. He was born in Rouyn, Quebec and was raised in several locations throughout Ontario until he came to New Brunswick in 1973 where he settled his roots and started a family.
He is survived by his loving wife Pamela of 42 years; children Candace Perry (Kenny) of Saint John, Kim Cheslock of Moncton, John Alchorn of Charlo, Michelle Cheslock of Hampton, Cory Alchorn (Giselle) of Grand-Bay Westfield, Lisa Cheslock (Steven Richard) of Norton; grandchildren Justin Cheslock, Jessica Cheslock, Cassidy Perry (Ross Northrup), Abbie Perry (Will Bundschuh), Zach Alchorn, Bryson Cheslock, Ben Alchorn, Jaina Alchorn, and Olivia Richard; brother, Terry Cheslock (Carole) of Stittsville, ON; brother-in-law Howard Fanjoy (Sheila) of Nairn Center Ontario; sister-in-law Francine Fanjoy of Miramichi City; special niece Lauren Cheslock; as well as several other nieces and nephews that he held close to his heart. Garry was predeceased by his parents and his mother and father-in-law Dot and George Fanjoy.
Garry worked at the Irving Oil Refinery for over 20 years and then in later years before retirement with ICR General Contractors.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). In keeping with Garry's request, there will be no visitation or funeral. A Celebration of Life will be held for his family and close friends at 206 St. John Street in Saint John, NB on Friday, October 18 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations for the Heart and Stroke Foundation or NB Lung Association would be appreciated.
