Obituary of Almeda Marion Rogers

It is with broken hearts the family of Almeda Marion Rogers announce her passing on Monday, October 21, 2024, at the Carleton Kirk Nursing Lodge. Born in California Settlement, Victoria Co., N.B. in 1926, Almeda was a daughter of the late Anthony Herchel Parks and Eva Laura (Hamilton) Parks, and widow of the late Christopher Rogers.

Almeda is survived by her daughter; Eva Sears, of Charlottetown, P.E.I., two sons; Brian (Monique) Rogers, of Saint John, and Terry (Kerry) Rogers, of Osoyoos, B.C., 13 grandchildren; Christopher, Kimberly, Leslie Jr., Dana, Christina, Patrick, Jonathon, Jennifer, Angela, Candace, David Jr., Renee, and Barbara, several great grandchildren, three sisters; June DeMerchant, of Hamilton, Ontario, and Margaret Whittaker, of Saint John, and Hollie (Bill) Matthews, son – in – law, Gordon Lee, of Grand Bay and many nieces and nephews.

Almeda was predeceased by her parents; Anthony and Eva (Hamilton) Parks, two sons; David, and Mark, and one daughter; Debbie, brother; Keith Parks, and four sisters; Jean Norsworthy (Jack), Muriel Rogers, Leona Davenport, and Arlene Whittaker.

The arrangements are under the care and direction of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (506 634 1701). As per Almeda’s wishes cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Castle funeral home. A private graveside interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date.
