It's taken some time to find the words that truly expresses the loss of a mother, the loss of your guiding light. Words alone cannot truly express such profound feelings. Our hearts ache.
Please accept our condolences during this difficult time.

The White family,
Our sympathy and prayers to you all at this difficult and exhausting time.
We thank God for Jean’s life which she shared so abundantly with our family. I met Jean as a new christian and she as a seasoned one in the early years after we arrived in Canada. Jean was a gift from God sent to nurture and encourage me to use my gift of speaking especially at Hope Mission, she believed in me when I didn’t and felt through my life’s experience had something to offer others. She made up the list of speakers for the Mission and humbly helped in many ways behind the scenes caring and helping all who attended.
God brought us together as surrogate sister’s and over the years we shared all the ups and downs of life , listening then taking them before the Lord in prayer. Our family was her family she cared about them and prayed daily for them
As you all experience various memories may they comfort and be a strength in your own faith, a lasting legacy Jean longed for all to know.

I had the privilege of knowing Ma'am Jean for a few months as one of her caregivers. She was an incredible woman with a heart full of love—a truly virtuous soul whose life exemplified genuine faith, charity, and unwavering hope. I feel fortunate to have met someone so remarkable, and she will be deeply missed. To her family, may the cherished memories of Ma'am Jean bring you comfort during this difficult time. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.

Aunt Jean was such a loving and caring presence in my life from earliest childhood to the day she died. I’m sure my mom was overjoyed to greet her in Heaven with a huge hug and a hearty “So happy to see you, Flub! Come on in and have a cup of tea!”
Sincere and heartfelt condolences to all the White family. May God grant dear Aunt Jean eternal peace and rest. “Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Lord!”

So sad to hear of your loss of your Mother. I hope you are comforted knowing she has gone in peace and will rise again in glory.
May the love and grace of God surround and comfort you and all who mourn her. I never had the privilege to have met Jean but knowing what a wonderful son she raised in you I can only imagine what an amazing woman, mother and grandmother she must of been to you all.

Jean was steadfast in her faith and her love of family. I met her and Joe, more than 40 years ago, when I visited them on Douglas Street. She was quick to smile, to hug and quick to praise others. She also had a wicked sense of humour and enjoyed a good laugh. My heart goes out to Susan, who remains my much loved friend, her family and Mark and Janet and Lynn. Godspeed Jeannie, much love always. LindaB.

Jean White was a beautiful person as she always looked out for me as she treated me like I was her own daughter. She would call me on the phone to see how I was doing and send me cards for my birthday, Christmas and mine and my husband\s anniversary. Jean White was like she was my mother. She will be greatly missed by so many that knew her and loves her like their mom also. She would even pray with us over the phone. Rest in Peace Jean and we will miss you greatly and we all love you.

I first met Jean when my late wife and I moved to Hillcrest Village. She was a great neighbor and obviously a strong woman of faith. She was always positive and friendly and willing to help out when she could. Even when her health was deteriorating Jean put all her faith and trust in our Lord and Savior, and willing to share that with others. My condolences to her family and prayers for peace and comfort over the following difficult days ahead. Jean will be missed!

To Susan, Mark, Lynn and family our sincere condolences, our prayers are with all of you. We first met Jean (later in her life) at Hillcrest Village in 2016, when she was the first neighbour to welcome us and we were fast friends ever since. When life had its cloudy days she gave us her joyful solution together with a group prayer the sun shone once more. She sits now among the Saints and we will continue to seek her council.
