Obituary of Merritt Logan

Merritt was called home by our Lord and Saviour on Friday, November 1, 2024. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late Stephen M. and Dorothy Eva (Allaby) Logan.

Merritt followed in his father footsteps as a successful car salesman with Logan’s Motor’s. He will be remembered as a kind generous man. He loved spending time boating, snowmobiling at “the camp” up the Musquash with his friends, having many adventures and lobster feeds. When Merritt was able, he went to the Irving Nature Park everyday to feed apples to the deer, fill all the birdfeeders with peanuts for the birds, squirrels and chipmunks. The crows would follow him as he fed them along the way.

Merritt is survived by his brother; Brian, nephews; Sean and Lindsey Logan, Rickey, Stephen, Mark Hall, and his best friend Wanda Bent.

Besides his parents Stephen and Dorothy, he was predeceased by his loving partner Iris Pattman and sister Beryl Hall.

Arrangements are under the care of Castle Fallsview Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3, 506-634-1701. As per Merritt’s wishes there will be no services and cremation has taken place.
