Tudger gave his all and will be remembered for the dear friend and neighbor he was. He and Laurance had many chats of old times in Fairfield, old vehicles and the ones I remember the most were how they compared how their biscuits turned out. Tudger got his baking powder in Calais, Maine-called clapper girls baking powder. Of course his were the best - the clapper girls must have had something to do with it. My thoughts and prayers are with you four, his girls. His presence will always be near.

It is with great sadness that I received this news ! Tudge and I spent a great deal of time in the company of others during my growing up in Fairfield, and traveling to and from the paper mill in the years that I worked there. The main things I remember were the many times I laughed till it hurt !

Uncle Tudge was always a riot to have around. When he came to town it was always an entertaining visit. I will remember his little chuckle always. Tudge was loved by everyone who met him. He and I were only 2 months apart so when we got a bit older, we did a lot of cousin things together. Fishing, sharing popsicles, visiting our Grandmother and bugging our aunts and uncles who most lived handy. He had the best sense of humor and amazing laugh. I will miss him.
