Obituary of Geraldine Mary Driscoll

Geraldine ‘Gerri’ Driscoll passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 with family by her side, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Gerri was born on June 13, 1937 in Fredericton, NB to the late Willard and Annie (Jones) Gill.

Gerri will be missed by her sons; Sean Driscoll (Susan Mayes) and  Jeff Driscoll, step child; Donald Driscoll (Leslee Shea), step daughter in law Patricia Driscoll, sisters; Doreen Boyer (Rick) and Judy Jackson (Robert), grandchildren; Kaitlyn Driscoll and Joshua Driscoll, step grandchildren; Matthew, Kendra, Morgan, Brendan, Olivia and Hilary, step great-grandchildren; Prezleigh, Weylyn, Aubrey, and Kendrick, beloved cat Sophie, many wonderful girlfriends, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Gerri was predeceased by her husband David M Driscoll, stepson David W Driscoll, siblings; Hilda Mills, Arlington (Bud) Gill, Merville Gill, and Elaine Babineau, and special aunt Leona.

Gerri worked at public health in reception for several years, before moving to the Waterloo clinic, and lastly worked office manager for Dr. MacLean’s office. After her retirement Gerri worked at Castle Funeral Home for several years as our hostess.

Gerri loved spending time with her family and friends; she always looked forward to Sunday Dinners with her family. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, gardening, baking and shopping with her friends and sisters.

Arrangements are under the care of Castle Fallsview Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3 506-634-1701. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 17 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, November 18 at 2:00 PM in Castle Fallsview Chapel. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in Gerri’s memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the SPCA.
