Obituary of Bud Clark
The family of Hazen “Bud” Allan Thomas Clark, formerly of Lorneville, sadly announce his passing which occurred on Friday, November 15, 2024 at Ridgewood Veterans Wing. Born on September 10, 1940 in West Saint John, he was a son f the late Cecil “Mike” Hazen and Helen “Kay” Katheline (Howard) Clark.
In his younger years, Bud served in the Navy. He also worked at McAvity’s, Saint John Shipbuilding and drove for Diamond Taxi. He was a manager for many years at Kingston Spring and Muffler in Kingston, Ontario. Bud was also a longtime member of the Lions Club in Kingston, Ontario.
Although we will miss him, he is at peace and no longer in pain. Bud leaves to mourn his passing, his long-time companion, Betty Gallagher; daughters, Dawn Vautour (Ally Pitre), Gina Porter (Glen) and Tanis Clark; sister, Helen “Darlene” Smith (Gerry Cormier); brothers, Sidney, Daryl (Edna) and Terry; sisters-in-law, Frannie Shephard, Dorothy Baird and Joan Green; brother-in-law, Burton Reid; grandchildren, Aaron Vautour (Kendra), Timothy Vautour, Josh Porter (Val), Jocelyn Wallace (Thomas), Dana Clark and Mikalya Recosie; as well as great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Lorna (Ackerly) Clark; second wife, Phyllis (Reid) Clark; son, Allan Wayne Clark; sister, Viola Clark and brothers, Patrick, Warren and Raymond.
Bud’s family would like to send many thanks to Katie, Carri, Kristin, Kendra and Jason to name just a few, along with the rest of the staff of Ridgewood Veterans Wing. All of you took exceptional care of our Dad and he liked each and every one of you.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) where visitation will take place on Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM with the funeral service immediately beginning at 1:00 PM all from Brenan’s Chapel. For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed and can be viewed by visiting Bud's obituary on the Brenan's website. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB or to a charity of one’s choice.
