Obituary of Audrey Jean Lamb
After 90 years of service to her family and our Lord, Audrey went peacefully to her saviour on January 5, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Audrey was born in Chipman, NB on May 30, 1934.
Audrey loved her work at Sears, but mostly cherished the time with her late husband Goldwin, son Trent, and the families of her son Kevin (Brenda) and daughter Gail (John) Dornan. Audrey hosted her extended family to the best meals and gatherings at holidays and other times of celebration. Those were pinnacle days for all of us.
She was predeceased by her husband Goldie and her best friend Ethel Dingee. She loved to chat with friends, and she always relished a good debate. Also, preceding Audrey in death, are her parents Samuel Brown and Viola Chapman, sister Geraldine Brown and brother Floyd Brown. She leaves her sisters Bernice Coburn (Irvine), Marlene O’Leary and Paulette Harding, brother-in-law Chesley (Joan) Lamb and sister-in-law Betty Lamb.
She was a longtime member of First Wesleyan Church, more recently attending North End Assembly. She enjoyed her grandchildren Brent, Keenan, Robin and Andrew, as well as her beautiful great granddaughters Isla and Maeve. We cherished her time with us and will all miss her spirit, tenacity and generosity.
We are all thankful for the dedicated work and time Dr. Neil Young spent with mom.
A service and interment in the Spring will be announced later.
Remembrances may be directed to an animal shelter or a charity of one’s choice.
