Obituary of John Hazen Dunham

John Hazen Dunham passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 18, 2025. John was born on December 19, 1958 in Saint John, NB to the late Hazen and Pearl (Clark) Dunham.

John is survived by his wife of 44 years, Connie (Guthrie) Dunham, daughters; Michelle Guthrie, Tammy Dunham and Carrie Mills (Roger), siblings; Kevin Dunham (Shelia), Dan Dunham (Joan), Curtis Dunham (Krista), Raymond Dunham, and Grace Wallis, grandchildren; Justice, Christopher, Kealen, Savannah, Tyson, Landon, Sam, Rowan, Penny and Avya, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his son John Dunham, and his sisters Barb Bell and Diane Dunham.

John was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed his career. In earlier years he worked in a hardware store in Chipman, NB where he earned the title a  ‘Jack of all trades’, he could fix/ build anything.  John also liked hunting and fishing with his friends.  

Thank family would like to thank Dr. Alana Cook, Dr. Shannon Whelan, Respiratory Therapist Jenn Brown and homecare workers Emily Grass and Shyane Bogle for all their care and kindness.

Arrangements are under the care of Castle Fallsview Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3, 506-634-1701. Keeping with John’s wishes cremation has taken place and no service will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers donations in John’s memory can be made to the Forward House Saint John or a charity of the donor’s choice.
