Obituary of Gary Allen MacFarlane

Gary Allen MacFarlane passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Gary was born on October 22, 1952 in Saint John, NB to the late Roy and Madeline (Moore) MacFarlane.

Gary is survived by his children; Jordan MacFarlane, Mary Falcon (Nigel) and Josh Brown, siblings; Brenda Hennessey (John) and Malcolm MacFarlane (Bill Henbest), grandchildren; Hunter, Olivia, and Connor MacFarlane, Zoe and Ayla Brown, Grace and Hattie Falcon and several nieces and nephews.

Gary was a life long Westsider. He worked at Irving Pulp and Paper for 32 years, retiring as a senior operator in the steam plant. Gary was an avid golfer and enjoyed reading. He also loved to travel, especially when going to visit his daughter and grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the care of Castle Fallsview Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3 506-634-1701. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 1:00 PM in Castle Fallsview Chapel. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in Gary’s memory can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
