Obituary of Beth Rebecca Paisley

The death of Beth Rebecca (Sangster) Paisley wife of the late Eldon G. Paisley occurred peacefully at her home on November 8, 2015, Browns Flat, NB. Born on September 20, 1923 in Quebec City, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Florence (Driver) Sangster. She lived in Montreal and later moved to McAdam, NB. She graduated from high school there. She attended Royal Victoria Hospital School of Nursing in Montreal and trained as a nurse. Beth then moved to Saint John and worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She gave up nursing to raise her family and to be a stay at home mom. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She was a member of the UCW and an honorary life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 87. She was an avid knitter and enjoyed crocheting and spent much of her time using her hands to create things for other people. Surviving are sons Thomas (Joan) Paisley, Grand Bay-Westfield, NB John (Deborah) Paisley, Browns Flat, NB daughter Jane (Darrold) Dotson, Browns Flat, NB; eight grandchildren Mary (Curtis) McKeown, Jennifer Paisley (Jamie Bickerton), Scott (Ashley) Paisley, Heather (Matthew) Russell, Andrew Paisley, Jonathan (Elise Mah) Paisley, Michael Delaney and Rebecca Delaney; Great Grandchildren, Sadie, Seamus, Stanley, Aleigha, Kaylee, Easton and Jace. Besides her parents and her husband, Eldon, she was predeceased by her brothers, John W. Sangster and his wife, Marion; Allan Sangster and nephew, Russell Sangster. Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Rd., Saint John, NB (634-7425), with visitation on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Bay View Chapel on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 2:00 PM. For those who wish, remembrances in memory of Beth may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 87.
