Obituary of Susan Mary Martin

It is with great sadness that the family of Susan Martin of Grand Bay-Westfield announces her passing, which occurred on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Bobby’s Hospice. Born on April 24, 1956 in Saint John, she was the daughter of Margaret (Wyatt) Dunlop of Quispamsis and the late Frank "Robert" Dunlop. Susan always treasured the times spent with those she loved and especially adored the moments with her granddaughter, Lila who will always hold a special place in her heart for her beloved "Mimi". She was employed as a Business Representative with Aliant for 30 years. Besides her mother, Margaret, Susan is also survived by her children, Jason Martin (Bernadette Mys) of Saint John and Kelly Martin (David Parker) of Grand Bay-Westfield; siblings, Mary Wright (Tom) and Sherry Middleton all of Saint John, Bill Dunlop (Karen) of Quispamsis and Linda Reid (Kevin) of Grand Bay-Westfield; granddaughter, Lila Parker; sisters-in-law, Debbie Benoit (Rick), Krissy Gladstone (Alan) and Karen Fox (Dave); brothers-in-law, Darrell Martin (Tara) and Don Downey; special friends, Judy Bernard and Mary Hewey; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her father, she was also predeceased by her sister, Cathy Downey; former husband, Kim Martin and special friend, Ruth Hoyt. Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, West Saint John (634-7425) with visiting on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Bay View Chapel on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 2:00 PM and will be immediately followed by a reception. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Bobby’s Hospice or a charity of the donor’s choice.
