Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Purdy

Purdy, Elizabeth Ann – It is with great sadness that the family of Elizabeth Ann Purdy, wife of Ross E. Purdy, announces her passing which occurred on Monday, August 1, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on March 21, 1959 she was a daughter of Dora E. (Foss) Barton and the late Cyril F. Barton. Elizabeth will be missed by her beloved husband of 28 years, Ross Purdy; her mother, Dora Barton; her sister Brenda Charlton (Stephen); a niece, Laura Charlton; a nephew, Kyle Charlton (Erica); and a brother-in-law, Stewart Purdy. In addition to her father, Cyril Barton, Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband’s parents, Dorothy and Norman Purdy. Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, NB (634-7425) where visitation will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A celebration of Elizabeth’s life will be held on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 2:00 pm from Brenan’s Bay View Chapel. Interment will take place at Good Shepherd Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to Bobby’s Hospice or SPCA – Animal Rescue would be appreciated by the family.
