Obituary of Doris May Whitenect
Whitenect, Doris May –
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Doris M. Whitenect announces her passing, which occurred on Thursday September 15, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on December 24, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Beulah (Mott) Spellman.
Doris will be missed by her children, Gail Sewell (Wilmont), Manning "Denny" McCoy (Edie), Daryl McCoy "Wayne" (Roseanne), Dawn "Lanie" Breau (Robert), Robin Elliott and Lori Miller (Stephen); grandchildren, Jennifer Fontana (Ernesto), Natalie Sewell (Pierre Harwood), Curtis McCoy (Lori), Wade McCoy, Chance McCoy, Corey McCoy, Leon Breau (Amanda), Holly Breau (Andrew), Brandy Guthrie (Duane), Alicia Zelward (Peter), Ryan Miller (Haley) and Sean Miller (Sam); Several great grandchildren; son-in-law, Jamie Moyer; siblings, Colleen Foster and Ronald Spellman (Lena); sister-in-law Murlene Spellman; brother-in-law Les Denton; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Doris was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edward Wilfred Whitenect; a daughter, Bonnie Moyer; siblings, Gloria Waddell, Georgie LeBlanc, Robert "Sonny" Spellman and Joan Cook.
Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, NB (634-7425) with visiting on Monday, September 19, 2016 from 12:00pm until her funeral service begins at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to any charity of the donor’s choice.
