Obituary of Kathleen Mary Martin

It is with great sadness that the family of Kay Martin announces her passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, February 7, 2017. She is survived by her loving husband of sixty years, Leo J. Martin and daughter of the late James and Jean Duplisea. Kay worked at Keddy’s Hotel for many years as dining room supervisor. She enjoyed gardening, working around the house, and being with her family. Besides her husband, Leo, Kay is survived by three sons: Doug (Pamela) of Cayuga, ON, Leonard (Dale) of Salisbury, NB, and Kevin (Amber) of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB; one daughter, Michelle Nice (Todd) of Saint John, NB; one step-son, Michael (Debbie) of Saint John, NB: several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers: Jack Duplisea (Teresa) and Al Duplisea (Hilda), both of Saint John, NB. She was predeceased by her parents; sister, Rose Hebert; and infant daughter, Brenda Jean. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425). By Kay’s request there will be no visitation. A funeral liturgy will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 10:00 AM from Our Lady Of The Assumption Church, 360 Dufferin Row. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
