It is with great sadness that the family of Marilyn Evans of Grand Bay-Westfield, wife of John "Jack" Evans announce her passing, which occurred on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at McLeod Seacoast Hospital, South Carolina while wintering in one of her favourite locations, Myrtle Beach. Born on December 20, 1944 in Armstrong’s Corner, NB, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Audrey (Queen) Smith. Marilyn devoted her life to caring for the needs of her family and treasured the times spent with those she loved. She especially enjoyed the times with her grandchildren who were her world. Marilyn always looked forward to her winter getaway in Myrtle Beach and treasured the friendships made there. She loved golfing and was an active member of Westfield Golf & Country Club, where she was past president of the ladies association. She also enjoyed playing bridge and was a faithful member of Westfield United Church. In addition to her husband of 50 years, Jack, Marilyn is also survived by her children, Stephen Evans (Andrea) and their children, Jenna, John and Julia of Grand Bay-Westfield and Christina Evans (Mark Douglas) and their children, Brittany, Kyle and Jayme of Saint John; sister, Sandra Smith of Grand Bay-Westfield; brother, Bill Smith (Linda) of Alberta; sister-in-law, Terry Glenn (Todd) and their children, Ryan and Emily; sister-in-law, Pat Wilson and her children, Lori, John, Janet and Lindsay; nephew, Jeff Smith (Michelle) and their children, Tyler and Jessica and nephew, Tim Smith.
