Obituary of Ivan Kent Morgan

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ivan Morgan announces his passing which occurred on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at his residence. Born on June 29, 1938, he was a son of the late Walter and Mary (Duncan) Morgan. Ivan served in the Canadian Armed Forces from 1958 to 1964. He was a long-time employee with the City of Saint John as a Heavy Equipment Operator. In his spare time, Ivan enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing crib and watching Fox News. Ivan leaves behind his children: Catherine Morgan and John (Stephanie) Morgan, John’s mother, Mona Morgan, his grandchildren: Mike, Melissa, Deanna, and John, great grandchildren: Lillie, Owen and Alexandra, his siblings: Allan (Kathy) Morgan, Ronald (Cindy) Morgan and Grace (Francis) Pettie, long-time friend Wanda McVicar, along with many nieces, nephews and members of his extended family. Besides his parents, Ivan was predeceased by his son Peter. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425) where visitation will be held on Monday, May 8 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Memorial Service will take place on Tuesday, May 9 at 1:00 PM from Brenan’s Bay View Chapel. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the IWK-Make A Wish Foundation.
