Obituary of Dorothy Ilene Dixon

It is with appreciation for a life well lived that the family Dorothy "Dot" Dixon announces her peaceful passing which occurred at Kingsway Care Centre on Friday, May 5, 2017. Born in Saint John, NB on June 1, 1913,she was a daughter of the late Joseph Albert and Violet (Wilson) Humphrey and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a lifelong member of the Anglican church. She will be missed by her sons: Frederick (Dawn), Paul (Loly), and Peter (Barbara) Dixon; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, George Albert Dixon in 2009; siblings Eva Lawson, May Kinkade, Elizabeth Parks, Bernice Walton, and James Humphrey. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, NB, 634 – 7425. A celebration of Dot’s life will be held at Brenan’s Bay View chapel on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to any charity of the donor’s choice.
