Obituary of T. Mary Clarke

With appreciation for a life well-lived, the family of Mary Clarke, loving wife of Charles R. "Bud" Clarke, announces her peaceful passing, which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by those she loved. Born in Saint John on December 4, 1928, she was the only daughter of the late Kyle and Frances (Murphy) Johnson. Mary worked for many years at the Admiral Beatty Hotel, and later at Keddy’s Fort Howe. In recent years, she had been an active and valuable member of the senior’s groups at Hillcrest Village. She cherished her family and her many friends, and enjoyed the get-togethers she had with them – particularly memorable were the family trips to Florida and Alaska. In addition to her husband, Charles of 68 years, Mary will be missed by her daughters, Gail McIntyre (Louis) and Lynn Balemans (Tony); her sons, Brian Clarke (Heather) and Wayne Clarke (Sharon); 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; several nieces and nephews; and her many friends at Hillcrest Village. In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her brothers, Raymond, Frederick and Donald; and her granddaughter, Lisa Dawn. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to all those who cared for Mary in her time of failing health. Thank you to Alissa and Tammy from Riley Home Health Services; the staff and doctors of 4CS at the Saint John Regional Hospital, especially Dr.’s Desmond and Anderson. Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, NB (634-7425) with visitation on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
