Obituary of Barry James Crawford

It is with heavy hearts and respect for a life well-lived that the family of Barry James "Pat" Crawford, loving husband of Norma (Moody) Crawford, announce his peaceful passing on November 7, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 11, 1937 in Saint John, Pat was the son of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Tiner) Crawford. Pat worked as a longshoreman and a commercial fisherman. He had a great love for the outdoors and had a passion for hunting and fishing. He was a kind and gentle man, a father and friend to all that knew him, and an exceptional husband, father and grandfather. Family meant everything to him, material things meant nothing. He was one in a million and irreplaceable. Pat will be greatly missed by his wife Norma; children: Ina-Lee (Greg) Janes, Charlene (Donnie) Lee, Jackie (Andy) Belding, Charlie (Judi) Crawford, Barry (Wanda) Crawford, Lyman (Wendy) Crawford and Kie (Amalie) Crawford; brother, Paul (Denise) Crawford; 17 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and many extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Harold Crawford; and sisters, Marion Bright and Shirley McAllister. Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Rd., Saint John West, NB (634-7425) with visitation on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Bay View Chapel on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place in Chance Harbour Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances in memory of Barry may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
