Obituary of Norma Doreen Brown

While we celebrate a life well lived, we grieve for the passing of Norma Brown, loving wife to the late John Joseph (Jack) Brown, on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Kennebec Manor. Born on April 23, 1932 in Saint John, she was a daughter to the late Harold and Evelyn (Linkletter) Jennings. Norma was a long time resident of Martinon, living there for most of her life. She enjoyed BINGO anywhere, at any time, playing cards, music and dancing. Norma was full of life and was happiest with a full house and making sure those around her were happy. She was generous to a fault. Above all, Norma loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Sophia who she adored. Norma will be lovingly remembered by her children: David (Karen) Brown of Kentville, NS and Susan Brown (Rob Noftell) of Saint John, NB, her beloved granddaughter, Sophia Noftell, her siblings: Dorothy Patterson of Ocala, FL, Vera D’Angeli of Boston, MA, Donald (Christine) Jennings and Glendon (Jackie) Jennings both of Saint John, NB, along with many nieces, nephews and members of her extended family. Besides her parents and husband John, Norma was predeceased by her brothers Vernon and James Jennings. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425). A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Matthew’s Parish, 45 Dollard Drive, Grand Bay – Westfield on Saturday, December 16 at 10 AM. Interment will take place at St. Augustine’s Cemetery in the spring. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
