Obituary of George Thomas Richardson

It is with heavy hearts that the family of George Thomas Richardson, loving husband of Beverley (Bartlett) Richardson, announce his peaceful passing on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Cranfield, England on March 5, 1925, he was a son of the late Frederick and Audrey (Wright) Richardson. George worked for Commercial Union for forty years where he served as Head of the Internal Audit Department. He also served in the Second World War, enlisting with the Royal Air Force in England. During his time in the Service, George became a Morse Code Instructor. George will be missed by his wife Bev of thirty-three years; son, Sean Richardson (Karil), step daughter, Leslie Winter; daughters: Carol Richardson, Kimberley Sawyer and Kelley Perkins (Nick Denman); brother Charles, as well as five grandchildren. In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by his brother John and sister in law, May. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road (634-7425). A Celebration of Life service for George will be held at a later date.
