Obituary of Clara V. Graham

Peacefully, on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by her family, Clara V. Graham, loving wife to the late M. Eugene (Pat) Graham, passed away. Clara, the daughter of the late J. Cyril and Eva (Burke) Lunney, was born in Saint John, NB on August 30, 1926. Clara will be missed by her sons: Michael J. Graham and C. Patrick (Linda) Graham; 6 grandchildren: Tim (Krista) Graham, Scott (April Buchanan) Graham, Clint (Jessica) Graham, Jill Graham, Lindsay Graham and Janelle (Marc) Blanchard; 7 great grandchildren: Corey, Jersey, Tyler, Isabelle, Kate, Gregor and Amelia. She is also survived by her loving siblings: 2 brothers; Bernard J. (Nancy) Lunney and Daniel P. (Carol) Lunney; 2 sisters: Patricia (the late Paul) McIntyre and Sister Hilda Lunney of the Sisters of Service; one brother-in-law Ken Gormley; as well as several nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Clara worked at Emerson Bros., New System and for a number of years as a secretary, for NB Sales. Over many years, she also acted in a number of Irish productions and had a love for singing, dancing and bingo. She was a very giving person and spent many years volunteering for, and assisting, other people. She will long be remembered for her charitable ways. Besides her husband and parents, Clara was predeceased by 4 sisters: Marie McCann, Gertrude Lunney, Edna Gormley and Mary Eva Saunders. Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425) where visitation will be held on Thursday, June 28 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Rose of Lima Church, 541 Milford Road, on Friday, June 29 at 10:00am. A private family interment will take place at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society, Bobby’s Hospice or to a charity of donor’s choice.
