Obituary of Liana Michael

The unexpected passing of Liana Michael, of Saint John, NB, occurred on Wednesday, August 8th, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB, she was a daughter of Diamando (Psychogios) and the late Louis Michael. Besides her mother, she is survived by 2 sisters: Litsa (George) Georgoudis, of Rothesay, NB and Dina Michael (Theodore), of Ottawa, ON; 4 nephews: Dimitri, George, Louis and Gregory, and 1 niece Sophia; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Liana was a ray of sunshine that brightened our lives. Her friendly nature, her boisterous laugh, beautiful smile and unconditional love will be remembered. She loved her music, jewellery, and drives with mom and her Vito’s pizza. Her family meant the world to her including her family at Centracare. Liana was our angel and rainbow. Through the tough times, through the adversity and the challenges, she shone through with a special light. Like the rainbow, she was a blessing from above. She leaves a huge emptiness in the hearts of all of us who loved her and got to know her. The family would like to offer a sincere thank you and gratitude to all the staff, past and present and patients at Centracare and the Saint John Regional Hospital for all their care, compassion and support throughout the years. It is appreciated more than they know. There will be no funeral home visitation. There will be a private family funeral service. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, NB E2M 3X8 (506-634-7425). Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. For those who wish remembrances to the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Online remembrances and condolences may be placed at www.brenansfh.com
