Obituary of Robert Rankine Ferris
Ferris, Robert R. – It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Robert Rankine Ferris husband of the late Viola June (Gavell) Ferris, which occurred on Monday, August 27, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in Jemseg, NB, he was a son of the late Reid and Nellie (Rankine) Ferris. He owned and operated Ferris Grocery Store, Browns Flat for many years. He is survived by one son: Robert Wesley Ferris (Susan) of Sussex; two daughters: Judith Anne Jones (Kevin) of Evandale and Gwendolyn McKinney (Brian) of New Maryland; eight grandchildren: Jennifer (Brad), Melanie (Terence), Ashley (Scott), Shawn (Krista), Justin (Sari), Josh (Ashlyn), Matthew (Zoe) and Emily (Ryan); eleven great grandchildren: Kevin, Ashlynne, Ryden, Bradley, Luke, Aleigha, Kaylee, Alexis, Scott, Thomas and Arthur; several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents he was predeceased by one brother: Norman and three sisters: Marjorie, Bernice and Madeline.
Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, NB (634-7425) with visiting on Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018 from Brenan’s Bay View Chapel at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place in Wesley United Church Cemetery, Browns Flat.
