Obituary of Evangeline Margaret Perrin

It is with appreciation of a life well lived, that the family of Evangeline "Van" Perrin, wife of the late Walter Edward Perrin grieve her passing which occurred on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Bobby’s Hospice, with her family by her side. Born on July 22, 1922 in Harcourt, NB, she was a daughter to the late R. Welsley and Blanche (Spencer) Beck. Van was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed nothing more than caring for those she loved. She was also a woman of faith with strong convictions, who worked hard for the things she had and accomplished. She enjoyed cooking, baking and knitting; something she did until very recently. Van was humble, kind and grateful. She had a dry wit that would leave her loved ones in stitches and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Van will be lovingly remembered by her children: Bonita (David) Miller of Salisbury, NB, Stephen (Linda) Perrin of Clarendon, NB, Beverly (Jack) Lockhart of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB and Joyce (Creig) Bell of Kitscoty, AB, her 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren, her sister Margaret Lucas of Burlington, ON, sisters-in-law: Mary Kirkpatrick of Sussex, NB and Jean Perrin of Saint John, NB, along with many nieces, nephews and members of her extended family. Besides her parents and husband Walter, Van was predeceased by her daughter Emily (Gerald) Collins, her siblings Everett, Alvin, Marjorie and Ray Beck. Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425) where visitation will be held on Thursday, August 30 from 6-8 PM. The Funeral Service will take place on Friday, August 31 at 10:00 AM from the Bay View Chapel with interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Clarendon. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Bobby’s Hospice, Salvation Army or a charity of donor’s choice.
