Obituary of Mary Dorothy Cummings
Mary Dorothy "Dot" Doiron, wife of the late Gordon (Red) Cummings, passed away on Tuesday, October 23rd, 2018 in Saint John, NB. Born in Saint John, NB on July 12, 1936, Dot was the daughter of the late Alexander and Hilda (Good) Doiron. Dot was a wife, mother, grandmother and nanny to many special children over the years. She was a great cook, winning several awards at the EX for her cake, pickles and jams. Dot loved gardening and baking. People loved her homemade mincemeat pies she sold at bake and craft sales at Christmas time. She also did crafts. There were always children around the house and Dot loved each one of them as her own.
Dot is survived by her son Gordon; her daughters: Catherine Cummings (Walter Wilson) and Victoria Wilkes (Samuel Wilkes); grandchildren: Alex and Dominique Wilkes; brother Brian Doiron; sisters: Gail Doucette (Doug), Caren Wilson (Ralph) and several nieces and nephews.
Dot was predeceased by her husband Gordon; her parents Alexander and Hilda (Good) Doiron; her brother Alec and her sisters: Pat Whalen and Narda O’Donnell; her daughter Deborah Cummings.
Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, NB, (634-7425) with visiting Saturday and Sunday, October 27 and 28, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 29, 2018 from Our Lady of the Assumption Parish at 12 Noon. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.
