Obituary of Adam Troy Arseneault

It is with profound sadness that the family of Adam Troy Arseneault announces his sudden passing on December 29, 2018 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Oshawa, ON. Born in Saint John, NB on June 7, 1984, Adam was the loving son of Edmond and Gladys (Vautour) Arseneault. Besides his parents, Adam will be deeply missed by his sister, Amanda (Doug) Thomson; nephews, Benjamin and Zachary Thomson, Grandfather Leo Vautour; along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Aldona Vautour, paternal grandparents, Albenie and Vanessa Arseneault and his uncle, Luke Arseneault. Adam graduated from St. Malachy’s Memorial High school in 2002 and went on to complete his Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Politics and International Studies from the University of New Brunswick (Saint John) in 2007. Over the years, Adam was employed at Technico, AECL/CANDU, PLNGS and was currently working at the Darlington Nuclear Power Plant as a Quality Control Inspector for Aecon Group Inc/Canatom Power Group. Adam could always be seen with a huge smile on his face and was recognized by his fantastic laugh. He had such a huge heart and was a kind and generous soul who loved children, especially his beloved nephews, Benjamin and Zachary, his goddaughter, Ella Neil and his godson, Hazen Tiner. Adam enjoyed driving the country roads, listening to his favourite rap music. He loved Drake and the Raptors, spending his time at concerts, games, movies, goofing off with his friends or playing pranks on his coworkers. He had a great passion for politics, which usually landed him in a good debate, much like his favourite radio personality, Howard Stern. Adam will forever be remembered by all who loved him, as a giant teddy bear. #Godsplan Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425) where visitation will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 10:00 AM from Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 360 Dufferin Row. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the IWK.
