Obituary of Vera Jean Beckett

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Vera Jean (Donald) Beckett announces her passing, which occurred on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at the Carleton Kirk Lodge. Formerly of Browns Flat, born in Olinville, N.B., she was a daughter of the late Edson and Sadie (McCutcheon) Donald. Jean in survived by her son Brian Beckett (Margo); daughter Brenda McKenzie (Philip); brother John Donald; sisters Phyllis Copp, Blanche McGowan, and Marion Makepeace; grandchildren Jason (Heather), Justin (Melissa) and Kelsey (Justin); great-grandchildren Wyatt, Kamber, Corbin and Ava, as well as several nieces and nephews. Aside from her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Eldon; brother Charles; sisters Elsie Johnson and Alberta Laurie. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, N.B. (634-7425). In keeping with the family’s request, there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held at Brown’s Flat United Church on Monday, February 11, 2019 at 1:30 PM. Donations in Jean’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
