Obituary of Robert Earnest Gordon Lingley

It is with profound sadness that the family of Robert "Bob Lingley, beloved husband of Frances Marion (Brawn) Lingley, announces his passing, which occurred on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Bobby’s Hospice. Bob was born on June 7, 1933 and was a son of the late Cecil and Winnifred Lingley. Robert was a resident of Morrisdale and Woodman’s Point, and held a life-long career as a master mechanic with Operating Engineers. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and driving his ATV. In addition to his wife, Frances, of 48 years, Bob will be missed by his son Robie Thomson (Florence); five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother Edward Lingley (Nancy); sisters-in-law; as well as several nieces and nephews. As well as his parents, Bob was predeceased by his daughter Deborah Frances Thomson McNally (Stan); grandson Barry Thomson; and a sister Phyllis Armstrong. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, NB (634-7425). In keeping with Bob’s wishes there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Bay View Chapel on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 2:00 pm. There will be a remembrance gathering at the time of the burial at the South Oromocto Lake Fire Hall at a date and time to be announced.
