Obituary of Colleen Roseann Winchester

The death of Colleen Winchester occurred on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Embassy Hall - Shannex, Quispamsis. Born on March 15, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Sarah Mae Bradbin and Lawrence Gregory O’Neill. Colleen always had a special place in her heart for her aunt, Mary Margaret O’Neill who raised her and resided with her most of her life. Colleen is survived by her daughter, Susan Margaret (Brown) Eisner (John); granddaughter, Cassaundra Eisner; grandsons, Jonathan Eisner (Donna), Elliot Eisner (Chelsea) and David Eisner; sister, Joan Belyea; brother, Wayne O’Neill; as well as very special friend, Kim Dupuis. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her first husband, Bruce Ernest Brown; second husband, Richard Gerard Winchester; sister, Gertrude O’Neill and brother, John Gregory O’Neill. Colleen worked for Canada Customs for approximately 20 years before retiring. She enjoyed music and a good laugh. Colleen had a very witty personality and wasn’t afraid to tell you what was on her mind. She most loved spending time with her family. She was born and lived in West Saint John her entire life until her health forced her to move to be closer to her daughter. She never stopped wanting to go "home." Special thanks to the staff of Embassy Hall - Shannex for the loving care provided to Mom during her time there and for the kindness and compassion that was shown to her and our family in her final days. It will never be forgotten. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, West Saint John (634-7425) with visiting on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 from 12:00 - 1:30 PM, which will be followed by the funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM all from Brenan’s Bay View Chapel. Interment will take place at a later date in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to the NB Lung Association or the NB Adoption Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
